The important task of epidemiological educators is to increase the teaching effect of epidemiology for non-preventive medicine and train qualified medical personnel who are adapted to the new situation. Through teaching practice, we provide several suggestions on the teaching of epidemiology for clinical medicine: connecting with clinical and prevention practice and improving students’ interest in learning epidemiology, combining classroom teaching with learning after class and developing students’ independent learning and creative thinking ability, launching “problem-based learning” model to improve teaching efficiency and strengthening the teaching practice to enhance the students’ ability to solve practical problems.
