Objective:To study the stress source and the coping styles of nurses in high-quality ward. Methods:A total of 238 nurses from high-quality nursing demonstration wards of three third-grade class-A hospitals in Nanjing were investigated by a questionnaire survey. Results:The stress of nurses in high-quality wards showed statistical differences in the term of department, educational background and position. The score of positive coping styles of nurses in high-quality wards were higher than that of native coping styles. Negative coping style was positively correlated with the stress of the nurse. Conclusion:Some reasonable and effective measures should be adopted to reduce stress source and enhance job enthuse and satisfaction of nurses,including increasing the allocation of human resource,making scheduling system reasonable and promoting welfare for nurses.
