To discuss the surgical techniques and effectivity of vitrectomy for intraocular foreign bodies(IOFBs)removal. Methods 32 patients were treated with pars plana vitrectomy and removal of the IOFBs,com bined with lensectomy. IOL implantation,encircling, silicone oil and C3F8 injection. Preoperative visual acuity (VA) with postoperalive VA were compared. Results The successful rate of the extraction of 1OFBs was 100700. Followed 6 months,post ope VA improved obviously. The number of cases with VA(0. 05～0.4)increased from 3 to 13,and that with VA(0. 5 and better)from 2 to 5. Conclusion Vitrectomy for removal of IOFBs is accute and effectient. There fore,the injures are the smallest and post-ope VA can improve as high as possible,
