Objective: To understand the awareness status and influencing factors of cardio?pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in college students in a university of Nanjing. Methods: A method of questionnaire survey was conducted for 468 sophomore students in a university of Nanjing and statistical analysis was performed. Results: The college students’ awareness rate of CPR skills was low. Single factor analysis showed no statistical significance in the awareness rate of CPR skills among students with different genders and different majors (P> 0.05). The awareness rate of CPR skills among students from different source places and whether the students had participated in CPR training of social organizations had statistical significance(P<0.01). The awareness rate of CPR skills among students who participate in the training of different time periods was of statistical significance(P<0.01). Conclusion: We should pay attention to the popularization and publicity of CPR in colleges and universities, carry out CPR training, and raise the awareness rate of university students’ first?aid knowledge.
