The generation logic，scientific connotation and promotion path of the
spirit of the Chinese medical team

Abstract：Chinese foreign⁃aid medical team has devoted its feelings and energy to saving lives and helping
the wounded，embodying the benevolence of doctors in foreign⁃aid medical care. The“spirit of the Chinese
medical team”，characterized by“ fearless of hardships，willingness to dedicate，saving lives and helping the wounded
with boundless love”，originated from the arduous journey of foreign aid and is rooted in the theoretical
characteristics of Marxism，nurtured by the inheritance of the traditional Chinese culture，and refined through
the medical practice of saving lives and helping the wounded. The spirit of the Chinese medical team
encompasses the meaning of willpower，character，action and compassion that interconnected and unified its
scientific connotation. It serves as a valuable spiritual wealth for promoting the construction of a healthy China，
building a community of health，and promoting the high⁃quality development of the“Belt and Road”. To carry
forward the spirit of the Chinese medical team in the new era，it is necessary to emphasize research and
interpretation to enrich the spiritual connotation of the Chinese medical team. We also recommend strengthening
the top ⁃ level design and exploring the channels for promoting the spirit of the Chinese medical team while
reinforcing the development of behaviors and continuing the spirit of the Chinese medical teams.
