Research on the level of high⁃quality development of public hospitals in

Anhui Province

——based on the variation coefficient method and the coupling coordination degree model

Abstract：This paper was aimed to evaluate comprehensively the level of high ⁃ quality development of
public hospitals in 16 cities in Anhui Province in 2020 by using the variation coefficient method，the rank sum
ratio method，and the coupling coordination degree model to calculate the coupling coordination development
level. The results showed that the high ⁃ quality development level of public hospitals in Hefei，Wuhu and
Anqing ranked the top three； while Suzhou，Chizhou and Huangshan ranked bottom. From a regional
perspective，the development level of public hospitals in central Anhui was highest，followed by northern Anhui
and southern Anhui. The development of public hospitals in 14 cities in Anhui Province had reached the
coordinated level，accounting for 87.50% ，while the imbalance existed in 2 cities，accounting for 12.50% .
From a regional perspective，southern Anhui was on the verge of maladjustment，central Anhui was faced with
moderate maladjustment，and northern Anhui was barely coordinated. To improve the high⁃quality development
level of public hospitals in Anhui Province，we need to improve the medical and health service system and
promote the coordinated development of public hospitals；strengthen the refined management and improve the
operation level of public hospitals；improve the service capacity of public hospitals by focusing on discipline
construction；and improve the service mode of public hospitals and patients’satisfaction with medical treatment.
