Abstract:E⁃health literacy refers to individuals’ability to collect, evaluate and adopt online health⁃related
information. Recent studies have shown that e⁃health literacy assists individuals in establishing health behaviors.
The higher e⁃health literacy one adopts, the healthier lifestyle they have. With the development of“Internet +”,
the public is more inclined to obtain health information through the Internet and utilize the obtained e⁃health
resources to maintain and promote personal health conditions. However, the influence of e⁃health literacy on
healthy lifestyles among college students needs to be further studied. This study conducts a questionnaire among
2 549 college students in three universities in Wuhu City through adopting the stratified cluster sampling
method. The results showed that the e⁃health literacy score was(72.47±11.89)points and the health⁃promoting
lifestyle score was(115.38 ± 21.03)points,both at an intermediate level. E ⁃ health literacy was positively
correlated with health⁃promoting lifestyles(r=0.626,P<0.01);According to the hierarchical multiple regression
analysis, the accessibility, evaluation ability and practical ability of e ⁃ health entered into the regression
equation, and the net increase effect on the health promotion lifestyle was 19.6% . E ⁃ health literacy is an
important influencing factor in college students’health promotion lifestyle. Universities should promote e⁃health
literacy among students as the entry point to strengthen health⁃promotion lifestyle education, and improve their
healthy living standards.
