Challenges and solutions in the ideological and political education of

medical students in the clinical stage

Abstract：The clinical stage is a critical period for the growth of medical students，and the ideological and
political education at this stage is of great significance for cultivating qualified healthcare professionals. The
current ideological and political education for medical students in the clinical stage faces several difficulties，
including inadequate systems，relatively general content，and comparatively lacking variety in instructional
methods. These dilemmas are due to insufficient awareness among hospital management，limited understanding
of the laws of ideological and political education，the incompatibility of the system and mechanism between
schools and hospitals，and the negative impact of the external environment. In this regard，it is essential to
promote the integrated construction of schools and hospitals through medical education cooperation. By aligning
with the needs of students，emphasizing practical activities，and incorporating new technologies，it promotes
the integrity and innovation of the ideological and political work of the affiliated hospitals. It is also crucial to
optimize the incentive mechanism of ideological and political education to enhance the enthusiasm and initiative
of all staff in the affiliated hospital participating in education. Furthermore，efforts should be made to create a
strong educational atmosphere and organizational culture within the hospital，upgrade the cultural taste，

cultivate a humanistic identity，and construct a rich cultural space to enhance the capacity for education.
