Abstract:Education begins with life and eventually returns to life. In the face of the pressures of capital,
technology, and power, life education carries the mission of shaping medical students’medical ethics and
virtues during real⁃world challenges. From both theoretical logic and practical necessity, returning life education
to excellent traditional Chinese culture is inherently inevitable. A modern interpretation of the spiritual,
sensible and rational dimensions of the traditional Chinese view of life can narrow the gap in medical students’
understanding of life caused by technological rationality, thereby reshaping the foundations of medical
humanism. Examining medical students’contemporary life education, there is a discontinuity in inheriting
traditional culture. Therefore,it is urgent to revive the cultural genes of traditional life wisdom in medical
schools, especially by promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of Confucian life
philosophy. Based on the traditional Chinese view of life,it is essential to deeply recognize that life education
for medical students is fundamentally a systematic educational practice integrating spiritual, emotional, and
               rational dimensions.
