The triple dimension of integrating Red Medical Spirit into the great
ideological and political course in medical schools

Abstract：The integration of Red Medical Spirit（RMS）and the“great ideological and political course”in
medical schools is not only conducive to the implementation of the fundamental task of fostering virtue and
nurturing people，but it is also beneficial to the cultivation of medical ethics of medical students and promotes
their free and comprehensive development. Additionally，it helps stimulate the vitality of ideological and political
teaching in medical schools，playing a significant role in the implementation of the Healthy China strategy and
the promotion of Chinese path to modernization. The integration of RMS with the“great ideological and political
course”in medical schools faces certain shortcomings，including ideological recognition and identification，

curriculum construction，resource platform integration，and talent structure. To this end，the integration of RMS
and the“great ideological and political course”in medical schools can be promoted through optimizing course
content，making good use of social classrooms，integrating resources，building faculty and institutional support
systems，and other paths.
